Between 20, she was signed to Motown Records, during which time she released two EPs, Made In LA and 2016’s 213. Mila J, on the other hand, has had a somewhat shaky start in the music industry. It almost seems as if Jhene only gets better with each new project, having earned a whopping three nominations at the 2021 Grammy Awards for Chilombo, which many critics have described as her best offering to date. She was getting so much attention at one point that Drake even asked her to collaborate with him on his 2013 song “From Time,” which went on to sell over three million copies worldwide - her biggest hit as a featured artist to date.
